Sir Edwin Sandys

Sir Edwin Sandys,was a Statesmen,a member of Partliament. And a Treasurer of the Virgina Company. He also financed the Mayflower, without interest. Sandys sent out 42 ships and with 3,570 men and women,and with livestock.

Archbishop Edwin Sandy

The Story my Mom told me, that got me interested in the Sandys. He took a stand with Queen Mary,(bloody Mary) didn't like what she was doing.He was a Bishop at time. She put my Great Father ( many greats) in a tower. And was going to have him killed. Anyways he escaped to Germany. When Queen Mary was gone,and Queen Elsabeth was in. She liked Edwin and made him Archbishop of York.
